87. Higher octane is harder to ignite - it is needed in high-compression or turbo engine to prevent pre-ignition or "pinging", but 87 is fine for an N/A or turbo Lite.

i just clocked 34mpg.......i'm thinking not a true fill-up. My fill-ups are usually when the pump clicks off, i dont remember it this instance. MPG is very important to me so I'll be making sure I check all the tips here. Dont know what plugs are in and what the gap is, but i'll get one of my brothers to check that out.

I'm seeing Iridium plugs are recommended?

Many have Platinum plugs set at .040. Use dialectic grease and antiseize when installing.

Hope you weren't hoping for much more than you are getting. The rest depends on how you drive your PT.

I can live with it. I only drive 10 miles to work anyway. It is allot of fun to drive in 4th gear between 4000-5000 RPM. Oh i got one of those adaptors so i can control my ipod with the cd changer controls. I have been enjoying that soooo much!

Go to fuelly.com and start logging your mileage. Track it and see how you do.
