Hey everyone -
Just wanted to let you all know I am taking delivery on my brand new 2006 PT Cruiser Convertible tomorrow morning. I am probably going to miss my current PT Cruiser Limited for a while, but I believe I will quickly begin to love this convertible just as much! The car is silver with a black top. I cannot wait until the weather is nice enough to put the top down!! What do all of the rest of you use to clean/protect your convertible top? I've never owned a convertible before, so I am new to this completely. Thanks! Matt |

Picked up the car this morning before heading into work (at work right now), the car had 140 miles on it when I picked it up this morning.[?]
I cannot wait until we get some weather nice enough to put the top down! Matt

Congrats on the new car but it kinda sucks that it has to just sit outside all day and doesn't have anyone to play with.

matt, I've had my 2005 convertible since last May and was advised by the
dealership where I purchased it to use a mild detergent on it, then rinse it off quickly. jim |

This is what you want to use.
Very good stuff recommended by convertible top manufacturers......RaggTopp Protectant. http://www.topoftheline.com/ragprot.html

Thanks everyone for the replies! I already have over 2000 miles on my convertible (125 miles round-trip for work...) I cannot wait till I have some time, and good weather to wash the car. I did put two coats of sealant on the paint after a coat of carnuba cleaner wax the day after I picked up the car, but since they I haven't had the time or good weather to wash/wax the car again.
I will be ordering some of that RaggTopp stuff very soon. I know my top needs some more sealant on it, as it sat outside over a year in MI weather while at the dealership, so I know it's in need of a reseal. Not to mention just a complete detail job. Matt

I just use the garden hose, this seems to be the best thing going.
