2005 GT Turbo Convertible Airbags and speakers

Hi Everyone. New to the forum. Would like to change the front and rear speakers in my 2005 GT convertible myself. Already changed my stock deck to an Alpine CDA-9885, no problem. However, never changed front speakers on a door with Air bags. If I remove the front door panels, will the air bags activate, and if not, is there a special way to put the door panels back in so it doesnt affect the air bags? Or is the removal and install exactly the same as any other install without airbags?

Also, I looked at the back speakers, and the grills seem to be a part of the panels. How do I remove the panels and remove the rear speakers? Anyone changed the rear speakers and have the install procedure? Appreciate the help from fellow PT Cruiser enthusiasts! Thanks!

i believe the airbags are in the sides of the seats

But....are the crash sensors in the door?.....I am sure the techy guys here know.

Thanks for your reply Mino. But as tpsfoto stated, are the sensors in the doors? If they are, I don't want to activate them by mistake when I take the door panels off. I've installed speaker and radio installs many of times, but never in a car that has airbags. This is my first car that I've purchased with airbags. I've always had Japanese imports, and this is the first time I bought American too. Couldn't resist the great looks of the PT Cruiser, and I have always wanted a convertible...Test drove the convertible Mustand, and it didn't compare to the "fun" factor of the PT Cruiser...Any techies or owners who have done their own speaker installs with cars that have airbags out there have any info?
