got the car on Monday but don't like the head rests they are tilted forward could nor move them back do they stay like that

It would go a lot easier with reading your posts if capitalization, commas and periods were used. On my 2001 the rear headrests come all the way out and you can turn them around or do away with them if you want, but the front headrests don't come out all the way. You might be stuck with the way they are.

No drugs of any sort ian. I work for the local Police and get tested twice a year. You come here from anywhere in the world with your "57 plate" which means absolutely nothing at all to anyone in the U.S. and don't bother to fill in your profile so we can help with your question. I went out to my PT to try and help and see if somehow the headrests came out and that maybe they could be switched with the rear headrests. I guess that wasn't enough for you since you didn't get the answer you wanted.

Tell us something; you didn't bother to even sit in your newly acquired car to see if it fit the way you sit and drive it before buying it and now that it's yours, you don't like it after 5 days of ownership?

Have you tried the "search" on this forum for "headrests"? I did; nobody else seems to be complaining about them except for the view out the back window.

My '02 front head rests come out. Took them out a few years ago so I could remove the covers to have them embroidered.

I just tried again on both the drivers and passenger side. The small release button allows the headrest to come up about 5 inches but stops just short of letting it come all the way out.

Maybe Chrysler made a change after the 01 model. They did make the rear headrest smaller in 02 to give a better view out the back window, and the rear headrest come out on the 01 without hardly any effort at all.

Your "thinking" comments are "right on" crewzin!

I wonder about the lean forward a little. But. the idea is that when you get hit inthe rear, your head doesn't whip backwards far. When I'm sitting in the seat normally (a normal size guy at 5"9"), I have to try to have my head touch the headrest. So, I guess it's a fit for me!

I'm 5'7" and when I am correctly seated, my head touches the headrest. I thought that is the way it was designed.

...and a perfect for me too (5' 9 1/2"). I never even notice the headrests are there and have to lean back a couple inches to have my head touch.
