I have the same exact problem... only mine is on the passenger's side. Too funny. I did run it past the Dealer where I bought the car. the Service Manager took it for a ride. He tells me that rubber seal is rubbing against the window... and that is causing the noise. he suggested applying a thin coat of lubricant. I haven't tried that yet.

If the car is still under warranty, it is up to the dealer to fix. If you start messin' with it, they could say, "Its your fault"!!
