Dealer says both situations are design problems from Chrysler and can't be fixed. They suggested contacting Chrysler. He says if enough people do, they might address it. Anybody having same problem or am I getting snowed in Myrtle Beach?

Thanks
Okay, I gotta tell you that your definition of a cold morning is much different than mine. I live up here on the Canadian Prairies where it was about -35° C or -31° F a couple of days ago when I got up to go to work. I haven't even mentioned the wind chill...

Anyway, I digress...if I'm not mistaken you can't use recirculated air when the defroster is on. You have to use the outside air so that it moves through the air conditioner to take the humidity out of the air that you blow on the windshield, otherwise it would frost up even more.

BTW, I only take my '05 Vert maybe once a week because I have another car, but it has a great heater, works well up here in the cold winter. I was very impressed with it.

Thumbs up Re: Heater problem

Terry,
That's what I was trying to say in my previous post. Recirc only works in the first two left hand vent positions. But with the 06 GT Vert, I believe that I may have my dealer check the air box flow when swith is in floor vent position. I'm not getting much there either.

What I noticed on my 05 vert was the heat feels weak on your feet compared to some cars because the heater doesn't dump onto your feet like most cars. If I put it on cruise control, and slide my feet back so my lower legs are vertical, and my feet are more under the steering column, there is suddenly a lot more heat hitting on my feet than when I have them forward on the pedals.

I experimented a bit with it having the vehicle on cruise on a straight road, and find on a cold morning, the place where my legs get cold is about 6" above the instep on the front of the calf. Most cars direct floor heat right onto the feet which more or less gets that spot for me. The PT Cruiser seems to direct the heat straight down from the lower edge of the dash panel under the cluster. I feel the heat on my lower calves if I pull my feet back about 4" from the normal feet on the pedal position. My feet match everything else on me: Oversize!
