I talked to a tint place near my house, and they said it should be okay, but they tell everyone not to use the windows for a week after getting them tinted, so I am sure it's not good for the tint when our windows go down and up each time we open the door. Let me know if anyone has done tint on their vert! I think I'll end up getting it done, and then just park the car for a week, so the window only goes up and down twice. Matt

When I bought the Black Sheep, 06 GT vert, the windows were down. So, I guess my windows went up first!
![]() The only problem with tinting on a vert is... (I think there was a previous thread on it in this forum)..... that when you open the doors the windows "crack" automatically; giving you a potential problem in the setting/drying of the window film. You would want to have the top down and windows up in the shop, leaving in the shop to dry - crawling over the door, (but) not openeing any doors while the film dries. The other post talked about one corner of a window film curling a little from the window movement and rubbing on the window gasket. |

Why can't they put the tint lower beyond the rubber at the bottom.....this way when it goes down & up a bit ....it is riding on the tint....not pushing it up.

I had my windows tinted last month. I was concerned about the same thing. I didn't experience any tint curl from opening and closing the doors. They guy who tinted them just said to not put the top down or the windows all the way down for three days.
