I was idly wondering about roll bar removal. A pure roadster look would be smokin.
I know it provides aerodynamic advantage to the rear seat passengers by keeping them out of the wind, but I was wondering if it was structural, or a required safety feature as well. |

Thanks, I kind of thought it would act as a stiffening member.
I don't have a good shot, just this one off my camera phone. |

I was told that technically "It is NOT a roll bar ,as it doesn't have the strength for that".

That looks sweet. I want a Convertible now, just to do that to it....That actually looks better than with the "Roll Bar".
Nice editing Crewzin! How about an edit with my car as a convertible??? ![]()

That's too cool!
I can see that picture costing me money eventually. Thanks, Crewzin! |

Not sure why you'd want to do that just for the better looks??
The vert already has a delayed windshield shake over bumpy roads - not improved much with a strut bar. I can't even imageine how wobbly the ride would be without the roll bar. ![]() But, if you have the cash and it's just for show....go for it! |
