Default 1/3 of Dash Lights Out???

Hi ladies and gentlemen!

I am new here, so go easy on me!

I have an 05' PT Touring Edition 2.4L Turbo Electric Blue Convertible. My problem is that part of the dash light that shows the Hot/Cold needle and part of the Speedometer has just burned out????

I've taken it to the local Jeep/Chrysler dealer, but have not gotten a call back yet. Have any of you experienced that before?

Frustrated, but still in love with my PT,

Welcome to the forum. If your frustrated because a couple light bulbs burnt out, what's going to happen when your wheel bearings fail or your power steering pump goes south? The PT has many parts that don't seem to last very long and the light bulbs are the least of anyone's sleepless nights.

I've had headlights burn out on brand new cars and once changed the new lights lasted another 10 years. Sometimes you just get bad parts from the very beginning, and since your PT is 3 years old it's not really a problem.

Enjoy your PT and don't let the little things get you down.

Cool Re: 1/3 of Dash Lights Out???

Ha ha, your'e funny!

Well, I'm not THAT frustrated! It's just that I tend to depend on the dealer to diagnose everything, and when they come back "stumped", it drives me crazy! lol If the wheel bearings go....I will call AAA!!!

I do enjoy my PT, however, especially living in So.'s been around 75 degrees here at the beach....PERFECT PT CONDITIONS!

Have an awesome weekend and I will keep you posted....

brindez, welcome to the Forum!!

There is quite a few threads about removing the dash and installing mew bulbs, use your search to find it. A suggestion, change ALL of the bulbs, not just the burned out ones. Good Luck.
