Tint, No Tint? 2-Tone Paint?...Opinions Please.

So we all know I have an 06' Convert. and I thought about tinting it but then again it crossed my mind it might look odd tinted w/ the top down. I am not getting Limo Tint ( Cause NJ Cops WILL Pull you over, weekly if they have to ) but I wanted like the 2nd or 3rd darkest.....Opinions?

Secondly, I wanted to do a custom Paint Job, or a 2-Tone Look, again the top is kinda a concern because I thought about leaving the bottom half Marine Blue and the top half plus hood Black..but it might look silly so I thought I'd figure out some creative way to do it...Any Ideas/Opinions/What color Might look nice w/ Marine Blue...Black and Silver seem to have been a high choice among fam and friends but I still want more opinions.

Two-tone works well with red, might work well with marine blue as well

go with a dark dark blue,would prob'ly look better than black on blue.i would only go with a tint if you ride with top up more than down.

Thank you Thank you! Anyone else??? I drive w/ the top up alot, but during the spring, summer and early fall, I will put the top down Occationally, but the windows go down too so that'll be fine.

Hey I think Silver and blue would look much better take a look at the pic below I did a quick photoshop job on it

I would just go with a tint. Our rear windows were factory tinted and I had the fronts tinted to match. I prefer the solid color rather than the two tone. But, that is my opinion.

I don't have a photo of mine with the top and windows up, but I have rather darkly tinted windows. I bought mine used and it came that way--otherwise it's something I'd probably never do out of laziness.

With the yellow body and the black top the really dark windows look really sharp.

I've never considered how it might look when I drive with the top down and the windows still up... Maybe it's goofy, but I live in Texas and it helps with the ridiculous sun.


I think the two-tone with the silver isn't bad, but I would shoot for a lighter silver, less charcoal grey in tone.

Great job on the photoshop Im not a big fan of the dark blue and I dont think a lighter blue would be good either the silver looks pretty cool
