it could be a sensor, I would check with the dealership just to be on the safe side. Happy Crusing! Chris

It has happened several times on my 2005. I recently had a bad battery and the windows and the top both wouldn't work with the engine running. I put a good battery in and everything started working fine again. Might try disconnecting the battery.
When my windows wouldn't work with the "smart" feature it was only for a short time 1 day or at the most 2 days. They always start working again. I think the sensor in the drivers door gets messed up since it is used all of the time. The rod for the door handle tends to bend and can cause it to mess up also. Rebending it will fix the problem. The sensor doesn't get tripped because the rod isn't long enough. Even then it still doesn't want to roll the windows down once in awhile, usually if it sits for a long time. |

It's happened to me a couple times, both times I got in the car, lowered the window all the way, closed the door, raised the window and lowered and raised it again and apparently the computer got its' bearings again and all was fine.
