Some A-hole cut my top on the drivers side

The trunk monkey was great... Badger...

Sorry about the PT top getting cut ...I had a few friends with rag tops that always left their doors unlocked and put their stuff in the trunk. Kept those who thought the convertiables were easy targets at bay with the knife. One guy caught a man looking in his car with the door wide open... I'll leave it there about what happened to the guy

The pt trunk isn't safe from the inside either but a trunk monkey would work!

I agree with Mean Green. My PT is Convertible #6 in my life and I've always left the doors unlocked with nothing inside worth stealing. As to the GPS, I take it with me and leave the bracket on the windshield with the power cord draped over it.

I know you can't do this overnight but if it doesn't look like rain, I put the top up with the windows down and lock the doors to set the alarm. The top up keeps the seats cooler in the Carolina Sun.

It's why I'll never have a convertible - I don't want a car that all it take is a knife to get into...

My lebaron vert can't be locked (locks seized) so it's never locked. Of course looking in you just see a big hole where radio is supposed to be. When I get reAdy to insall a radio it will be out of sight in the back of the glove box with a faux door. Open glove box and see nothing but the faux door. Shouldn't take up more than a few inches of glove box.

This is what scares me about getting a vert,,,,,I am waiting for the right time to get my C6 vette vert...maybe I should just get the targa

I can't find it right now, but a friend with some convertible (it's been a few years, might have been a Saab) had one of these that was all weather and a tighter fit. Not sure if they make one for the pt or vette, but it seems alot cheaper than having your top cut. For the life off me I can't remember the name brand or where he got it. After a week or so of putting it on and taking it off he was able to do it about as fast as putting the top up.
