Default Driver Side Window Problems...ANNOYING

its such a dumb problem but its really a big aggrivation.....

I have a 2006 PT Convertible, and with the convertibles when you open the doors the window is supposed to go down a little bit so its not stuck in the top...mine stopped doing that and makes it hard to open the door and it sticks, Its only been doing it a few days but it's not getting any better either. Other then that, the window still works just fine.

I have to open the window, get out of the car, go back in on the passenger side and close the window then lock up the car. After a few days of this I kinda got tired of it. I can't just leave my window cracked open, it's raining out.

Anything that might cause this? Anyone have this issue and if so what it an expensive fix?

Thanks

Hey your problems seems to be sucking you .well why dont you consult a mechanic or the dealer for your problem .It might cost you a bit but atleast your problem would be solved and you dont have to be bothered

Sounds like a computer problem

Disconnect one battery terminal, wait 10 minutes & reconnect - that reboots the computer.

This is a typical problem. 2 fixes for this. 1) turn the car on, with the windows up, put the top all the way down. Then, put the top back up all the way. This fixes the problem most of the time. Something gets out of sync with the computer/door/top and it doesn't work.
2) There is a rod on the inside of the door that goes from the inside handle to the door latch. The wire is not really heavy enough and it bends slightly to not allow the switch to know you are opening the door. You have to straighten out the bends a little to make the rod longer again. Not by a lot, maybe 1/8-3/16". I had to do this on my 05 in the first year. I tried adjusting the screw at the end of the door. Nothing. Bent the rod works every time now.
They don't like to sit and let the battery get low or not be driven for long lengths of time for some reason or be jump started. Mine still does this but after I bent the rod back the lowering top trick works all the time. I have to do it about every 4-6 months.

Marton is right, disconnect the battery and wait 10-15 minutes...that is all we do at the dealership and charge you $90.00
