TOCK TOCK NOISE IN LEFT FRONT TIRE

I have done everything that I can think of to get ride of this noise. I have a 2007 PT Convertible with a turbo. I have had the rotars turned and the brakes changed. They took the wheel completely off and checked it out. The noise keeps pace with the turning of the wheel. Pushing the brake does not change the tock tock noise. Any ideas???

Welcome to the forum. Two possible causes for your noise. #1 bad bearing, and #2...

cruiser60- I just went through this same issue. Ended up with lots of new parts and lots of time spent in front of the computer, only to eventually figure out what the moderator posted above- number 2.

Don't trust anyone. One of the founding members of Intel wrote a book titled "only the paranoid survive." Unless you actually saw with your own eyes the car taken apart and then watched them put it back together, the persons who did the "work" on your car probably didn't do much "work."

The issue is that little clip can move some and rub on other rotating parts. Don't ask me why it's a cyclical sound with each rotation of the tire; my guess for my own vehicle is nil, I don't know, considering I replaced the rotors, pads, and was almost going to replace the hub/bearings, but I went and bought new clips out of exasperation this morning, replaced them myself being careful to add lube/goop/etc in the right places and cleaning up where it needed, and VOILA! problem gone. Yay! Nice run on sentence, eh?
