I took the negative cable off my battery to clean what looked like a green chia pet. When I returned the cable, I know longer had power window functions or conv. top functions. My windows won't drop down to clear my black rag top and it is a major pain in the butt poppin the cap all the time just to get my windows to suck in. What I need are all the wiring diagrams for power windows and convertable top on a 2005 turbo pt cruiser. I am in desperate need and would appreciate it if someone could send me them to my imaram2@aol.com e-mail.

It might be time for a new battery....
Some places check charging system for free - I think WalMart & Sears do - call first.

Hey their imaram2,

Just for the sake of it, why not try really quickly resetting your system. My PT is used strictly for shows so it spends much time with the cable off, and occasionally when I go to put the cable back on I will get random glitches most commonly in windows not working, or flashing codes, or interior lights not working right. Also seen it happen on several other PT's as well so it is a pretty common issue.

Simply pull the + Cable for five minutes to reset the system, reconnect, and give it a try again. You might have to do it more than once to get it to work, but their might be a good chance it will salve the problem.

If not, then I would have the battery, and charging system checked.

I had the same thing.... It was corrosion on the cable... you need to clean the cable .... there are many sprays that will do the trick....
But my 2005 has the original battery .... so I changed that as well & then all of the higher powered motors was working.
