Hello all! I decided to stop at a dealership on my way home to look at their cars, and I found this GORGEOUS little convertible.
click here Waiting for a call tomorrow so we can find out the lowdown and discuss payments, etc. I'll have to give up my fun stick shift, but I think ultimately, this car would be the better deal. Low, low mileage, and it's beyond gorgeous. I showed it to my parents tonight, and even my mother seems a little impressed. I'm excited, but I want to keep a cool head, too, and not jump in without thinking it through thoroughly. I need to find out my insurance costs and take that together with the new monthly payments, which we are hoping won't be more than about 330. We will find out tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers, but trying to stay logical and responsible about it, too. I am still so giddy though! This would be the first car that I truly, really choose for myself instead of having to pick something quickly that I can live with even if I didn't love it. So if this works out for me, I'll be bouncing off the walls.

Nice looking ride!
One way to help get a better price on the car is to come to the lot pre-financed. Call a local credit union and get a membership. They have awesome used car rates and qualifying is a little easier than with a big bank. If you show up to negotiate pre approved, the dealer is more likely to entertain serious offers. He knows you've got the funds to make the purchase and he's not going to want to let money walk off the lot. The other thing is to try and remain calm as if you could take it or leave it either way. If he knows you're dying for the car, he's going to be more likely to stick to his guns. Also don't tell him you have a trade in if you do. Make your best deal first, then handle the trade. Sometimes you get a better deal on the trade that way. Good luck! |

It looks good, low miles and in great shape. Hope it's meant to be yours.

I did get her and she's gorgeous. Was about 11500 but I had to add the remaining difference from the old one which was 900. Not bad really.
Interest is only 9.7 which is fantastic for me. I love it! Drives better, smoother, all powered inside, alarmed, everything. And of course she'll get some chrome accenting too!

A bit of "fatherly" advice. Never leave anything in the car that you value and never lock the doors. (Act as if the top is always down.) This keeps some jerk from cutting your top. If you push the electric lock button (car or key) and manually unlock each door the doors will be unlocked but the alarm will be set. Enjoy the ride. My first convertible (of 6) was blue.

Congrats on the ride!
I really wanted a 'vert when I got the PT I'm in now, but the wife didn't. Turns out there weren't any good ones in my price range anyway. Now is good weather around here for driving with the top down. I've been enjoying the sunroof since the snow left last week

I think I got a pretty good deal all in all. The dealership gave me a 2 year warranty that includes engine, transmission, steering, ac, and drive train. I also got a 150 dollar gas card which will last me about 5 months probably.
I've gotten a lot of comments already! I can't wait to start the chrome accenting. I'm going to get the belt line first, then add in the door cups, then go for the wheel well chrome. It's so exciting! Will probably change out the antenna too later on.
