all the electrics went crazy!!

my wife was driving home tonight in her 2006 Turbo convertable when she says everything went crazy!
all the lights on the dash went out,the hazard lights started to blink,just everything went nuts!!
she pulled over,stopped the car,restarted,& everything was as normal.so she came on home.
naturally she was upset,& is afraid this might happen again.
has anyone experienced this,or have any knowledge of this?

Are you the first owner or the PT? If not, it could have been one of the thousands of cars caught in a flood and only now electrical gremlins are showing up. Buying used is a gamble.

If your the original owner, we've seen where a failing battery will cause numerous electrical problems to pop up. Have the battery and charging system checked.

we bought this car used in 2006 with about 6000 miles on it.
the only other problem is the radio is intermittent.
when the car is started,some times the radio will come on.some times never.you push the radio knob,nothing.
would this be related to the problem?

That's an alful short time for someone to have the car and then get rid of it unless that might have known the electrics are a problem, such as a lot of water getting to the TIPM (fuse box). I'd take it to someone with a scanner to see what they can find out.
