Default New to forum, and PT Cruisers!

Hi there
I am new to the forum, as I only bought my PT a week ago! She's an 06 Convertible, Touring Turbo, Inferno Red. Her name is Scarlett. ;-) Traded in my 02 New Beetle GLX and so far I'm thinking I made a very wise decision! I got a screaming deal on her too, so that doesn't hurt.

I want to chrome her out eventually, but it's going to be a while before she's done. I have a 1967 Cougar that is in mid-restore, and she takes up a good chunk of cash, too.

I just wanted to say hi and see where everyone recommends for accessories. I need a boot cover and want to get some of the smaller chrome pieces.

Any suggestions??

Race & Street is a good bet for all kinds of goodies, and they've got a pretty solid reputation around here, too.

But pictures: we luvs us some Cruiser pics!

Welcome to the Forums.
RaceAndStreet is the best place to start - good prices, excellent service.

Thanks, I will bookmark the site, I'm sure I will be going to it often! I took her out to a car show last weekend, and tons of people looked at her! Turns out a lot of people have never seen a PT Vert!

Hey their jedigirl77,

First off,

As far as parts go, I agree either Maggie over at Race and Street

Chrysler PT Cruiser Parts and Accessories by Race and Street

Or Mitch over at Cruiser Motor Sport:

Cruiser Motor Sports

are your two best places for PT Parts around. Both have excellent reputations, and are very well respected around the PT Community.

Go easy, and I hope to catch you around.

Could you tell me how your ABS woody panels are holding up? Were they hard to install?
Are they pretty durable as far as scratching etc.?

Welcome to all the fun....Like everyone said about Race And Street, but I found out sometimes on Ebay they have listed stuff from R&S (maggie) as the contact for a little less or maybe free shipping..may save a little sometimes...
My wife just got rid of here 02 VW Beetle turbo 3 months ago..It wasn't my favorite car we owned..She bought the same day I bought my first PT an 01 LE Inferno Red....You see whats still around, but now it's a different PT cause some dummy hit my 01 and totaled it out..but as you can see I bought another never thinking buying anything elses instead...

Did you install your woody kit? How is it holding up? Is the plastic durable, like hard enough to resist minor scratches? What is the brand name of your panels?

If your asking me ..mine is a factory Woody.. the vinyl has held up well on mine, the 70 year old lady who owned it before me never drove it thru a car wash so I think that helped alot...not a scratch on any part of my wood package..
