Default Turbo Convertible Motor Mounts

Mechanic says my motor mounts are shot. 64,000 miles. Chrysler says they're not covered under any warranty. The shop wants $700 to replace, says it's a big job to get to them and replace them.

Any advice or guidance out there for me.

Yes, maybe true that they are worn out. Yes, they are not covered under any extended warranty but might have been in the first 3/36. $700 is way too much to pay to have them replaced. Look/ask around, you have time, the engine won't fall out. See if you can find a mechanic that's honest and will give you a fair price.

Just had mine done on the '05 GT with 62000; set me back around $550 for both mounts.

I got both torque struts or mounts for $70 each Canadian. Took 20 minutes for each one. the center one is the Pain in the butt.

Yeah; really blows being mechanically illiterate and having to depend on others...
