Getting a little chrome crazy

I haven't done much yet, but I really am jonesing for some chrome on my 'vert. I definitely want chrome door spears, and I'm thinking I'd really like the curb molding and maybe even a beltline and fender spears (not sure, that may be overdoing it). All of this I've seen available, but one thing I have on my mind that I've never seen as an aftermarket product, I think I'd really like: Most of the cool vintage convertibles I've seen have complete chrome surrounding the windshield. Not just the surrounds I know are available, but the pillars and the whole shebang.

Anybody ever see that on a PT Cruiser?

the parts that suround the wind sheild seem to be 3 parts, and most likely removeable,
i think there is that self stick chrome ( bright) flim,
you could put on there
that might look good, if you do it nice,

how about 3/8s chrome wheel well molding on the grill like mine,

I also just used some of the u-channel chrome as an accent on my side mirrors. Looks very nice. Just a touch of chrome instead of the whole thing.

ohh and i put 1 more strip right on the hood, just above the others makes the grill look bigger

Thanks for the heads up on the spears, but they don't look like what I want.


Anyway, here is what I've done so far: The grille, a couple of chrome turbo badges on the sides, air vents (cosmetic only) and a beauty ring on each of the side mirrors using the leftover grille stuff.






I also bought some Chrome Brite tape that I may try on my spears or the curb. If it works, great. If not, I guess I peel it off and clean off any adhesive that sticks.

Yeah, now that I have them on, I'm not so keen on the two different type faces so close together. But I guess I'll live with them for a while before I take anything off.

Be very careful, too much stick-on stuff, and not enough actual work put into it will look VERY tacky VERY fast. Those chrome vents , to me, are a dead giveaway about how lazy a person is at customizing :P no offense , just thought ide warn. Plus the font on the "turbo" is different , so it looks strange.
On a helpful note, the chrome door spears do look awesome , i believe. When not surrounded by chrome themselves.
You might also look into the chrome vert' bar overlay that ive seen online at some places, i thought those look like they might look good. I believe their like a big sticker though, so it might suck.
I always like seeing a customized car and having to look really close to tell if its stock or not, thats when it looks really good. Like Turbo1013's , thats pure beauty in my opinion, coughed up some dough too, but it always pays off
Not sure which year you have, but the rims i have on my 04 limited are very 'chromy' . Almost too much so , that i kind of want less showy ones. But their high $ so Chrysler must know something that i dont :P
