Default How to find added options?

I did a search of the forum & I didn't find the information I'm seeking.

I'm interested in purchasing a certain 2008 PT Cruiser Convertible & I have the VIN number. I don't know if that's what I need but I would like to find out the options that came with the car.

What's the best way of doing it?

Thank you in advance!

I'm pretty sure if you call a Chrysler dealer and give them the vin # they can tell you what options the car came with. I know that's how I found out that my car came with a remote (which I didn't get when I bought it)

If it was me I'd just ask the owner or dealer that you're trying to buy it from what options the car has.

The car is at a Honda dealership so I'm not sure they would know what equipment was standard & what was optional.

Exclamation Re: How to find added options? (Help!)

OK, I really need advice from you experienced PT owners...
The 2008 convertible I'm interested in purchasing seems near flawless inside, outside, mechanically & it has low miles.
I checked the Carfax & it has two previous owners: an unknown rental company for the first 17,422 miles & a private owner for the last 6,375 miles. Yes, a rental company.
I called the local Chrysler dealership & I was informed that the warranty expires Nov. 12, 2010. I read that the 2008 PT's had an unlimited powertrain warranty, but the dealership confirmed that it expires on the same date.
I'm seriously concerned about the fact that it was a rental. What would you do? What should I do? Move forward with the purchase or keep looking?
Once again, I'm truly appreciative of your valuable input!

IMHO I'd keep looking. I have a 2008 and have unlimited warranty on the powertrain. That is one reason I traded the 2006 in for it.

I'm wondering about that too. Don't all 2008 PT's have unlimited powertrain warranties?
I don't understand why the dealership stated it's only 3/36K.

Someone hasn't done their homework.

Only for original owners.

What model are you buying, base or touring? I think very early 08's had GT's

The lifetype warranty is not transferable.
