Question Window Problem

Hi, new to the forum. Just bought a 2007 PT Cruiser. We really like it. The passenger side rear window stoped working in the down position. Window went down and won't come back up using front or rear buttons. Appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forums.
You need to give more clues -
DOes the motor hum, or no noise?
Need to separate whether problem is electrical or if window came out of rails.

In any case, you're probably going to need to take dorr panel off - start doing a search on door panel ...

ok, I've got the door panel off.

I unplugged the connector that mates to connector/wire that goes to window motor. When I toggle the up/down switch I measure +12V and -12V, so I know I am getting power to the motor.

Does this mean the motor is kaput? Could it be anything else? Thanks.

Hey their billd,

First off welcome to the Forum.

Maybe try popping the hood and remove the positive battery cable for five minutes, replace the cable again and give it a try. Let me know if that might resolve the problem.
