...and a million other questions like how old you are, your driving record, will the car be secured in a garage at night, how many miles do you plan on driving it, are you driving it to work or pleasure, who else will be driving it.

Thanks for the responses. So I guess make it secured in garage, keep mileage to minimum, driving for pleasure and no one else driving it. Got it.

Hang on a minute. That's just the sort of questions the insurance company will ask you in order to give you a quote. Depending on the answers you give them, they will tell you what you will pay. Give them false information and any claim can be denied. Tell them it's in a garage overnight (to lower your premium) and it gets vandalized outside your house while your sleeping, they can deny your claim and may drop you altogether.

You might ask, well how can they tell if it wasn't in the garage (say you dad's car is usually the one in the garage and yours sits outside). Suppose 5 cars in the neighborhood were all vandalized (including yours) and all the others were sitting outside overnight. Pretty sure that yours was outside also.

Or your mileage from the time you took out insurance was 5,000 and 2 months later it's 10,000. It's a pretty sure bet you aren't using it for only pleasure drives.

Yes they (The insurance companies) are not stupid . Give them honest answers then shop around for the best quote.
