Default 07 vert electrical system

Anyone ever have the lights get real bright for a second or 2?

I think my alternator might be over charging the battery because something has come out of the battery vent caps. But then at other times my lights seem dim and I can see a flicker in them. Like the clock back light will pulse with the turn signals.

A couple years ago a wire underneath the engine broke and the electrical system freaked out. The dealer mechanic said it was a voltage sense wire that controlled the alternator output and I'm wondering if it is going bad again.

Anyone ever see a problem like this before?
