Default roof stitching splitting

Hi the roof stitching is splitting above the driver door on my 2005 convertible. Has anyone run into this and how did you repair it?

Thanks,

Rich

Can't really see from that picture where the split is. I haven't had any problems on mine yet.

Sorry about that, I should have added more detail describing the picture: the roof material that is below my finger use to be folded up and stitched to the material above my finger. I think the previous owner might have frequented an aggressive car wash. The roof is pretty decent material, not as nice a material as the 2001 VW Cabrio GLX I was driving before the PT (that roof still looks good as new after 11 years).

In case there is someone with a similar issue here is what I have done to repair the roof: I used contact adhesive and folded and glued the roof edge back where it was originally. I have driven the car about 500 highway miles since gluing and have put the roof up and down a couple of times and it seems to be holding fine. If the contact adhesive holds up this winter great, if not I will use a stitch awl and loop stitch the edge in place this spring.

hope that holds you till spring. I can't really see from the photo what is wrong. Do you know what kind of thread to sew it with?
