Exclamation Rear Brake Shoes????

Hello All,

I have a 2005 Pt Cruiser Convertible Turbo, with around 60k miles. I decided that I would change the brakes on the car, before my wife takes it on an upcoming trip....Front brake pads, was changed out with no problem. When I took apart the rear drums to change the shoes I ran into this issue: the shoes that I bought (from a parts store) does not have a way to attach the parking brake to it. Is the parking brake holder supposed to be removed from the old shoe, and reused (if so how does it come apart)?

I know I can always just put the new shoes on, without hooking up the parking brake cable, but would rather just go a head on hook it back up if possible.

If someone out there has found a solution to this problem, please let me know. I plan on calling the dealerships in the morning to see what there parts department suggest.

Going go with the obvious; are you certain you received the shoes for rear disc brakes, and not rear drum brakes?

They used bad cores- there needs to be a place for the parking brake arm.
Lots and lots of junk coming from China

Return them, re-use the old ones, get some from a JY, or buy Wagner premiums

BTW, the disc shoe(s) are tiny- and is a one-piece design!

I think he is asking how to change the arm over from the old to the new shoe. Pic would probably help.
