Default 2005 Cruiser Convertible windows hate the heat?

Hello all, new to the forums and the Cruiser which I've had about 8 months now. Aside of having to put a clutch in I've only really had one other issue with it. The power windows. For some reason they will randomly stop working. It happens all the time in the heat mostly, but sometimes even in cooler weather after having the top down then putting it back up. I drove it through the winter here (southeast Ohio) and as long as we didn't have a freeze they never gave me any issues. But now that summer is in full swing, it's turning into a daily problem.

When one of them stops, none will work at all. No matter which one I try to use, when I press the switch, something in that door will just make a buzz sound and not move. If I leave it alone for about 10 mins give or take with the keys out when I try again they generally work. The 1 thing however I thought I might have issues with when getting the Cruiser was the top failing as in the motor quitting on me. It has always worked flawlessly.

Anyone have any insight for me? I would greatly appreciate it.

Disconnect the ground on your battery for 10 minutes, then rehook it up.

Start your car and see if the windows operate.

Also time to hit the local junk yards and start looking for switches and what not for your car.

I would guess if resetting the Module by disconnecting the battery doesnt fix it, you may have a bad switch for that window.

Also I assume your battery is good.

Yes battery is good, and it happens to all of the windows at once. I will give your suggestion a shot & thank you. Is there a relay somewhere that I can check in case that's affecting the performance of the window switches, or do you think I'm on the wrong track here?

Thanks for the help.
