Default What is the best year PT Convertible?

I was just curious from your experience. What is the best year pt cruiser convertible? I guess based on what's in it / how it looks / and mechanical problems?

My mechanic has an 05 GT and was telling me this year had the least problems etc.

Thanks for the info!!

I have both 05 and two 06 convertibles.

I dont see any difference other than the changes they made in 06 to the cruisers, ie different interiors, bumpers, electrical architecture.

Everything else is pretty much the same mechanically.

Turbo or non-turbo?

I would for sure go for the 05 Turbo, if you are going to mod the car, way more bits for the motor and tuning for the older computer. 06+ it gets tricky, since they went to the CANBUS computers. I say this having a 01 and a 03GTS1+ hardtops. Non-turbos you have to basically build the power yourself - not fun. Why I bought the 03.
