Default Front end help

I have a 2005 Pt Cruiser Convertible Touring Edition with 2.4L Turbo.

I need some help locating the name and part number. On the passenger side front of car is the fog lamp. right beside the fog lamp is an air flow opening. On my driver side I have a plastic air flow guide behind the bumper. I can not find the replacement for the passenger side. WHAT IS THIS PART CALLED AND PART NUMBER??

i tried to figure out what that is for an hour. you might be better off just putting it in the classifieds as a wanted item, maybe someone has it. i think if i wanted one i'd check the junkyard. fyi mine's missing too. i think it's from having too much fun in the snow last winter (:

i checked local junk yard and the PT they had was wrecked on front and parts all gone. I have seen this same part I want on PT cruiser sedans as well as convertible. So I know there are a lot out there.

I have mine on the driver side, but none on passenger side

On the passenger side, my timing belt is exposed. Something off road could come thru hole and take out my belt, BAD thing.

I also tried dealer, and they could not find part.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If you're looking for right (paasenger) side version of this part, iirc it actually is the splash guard that you already have. It serves a multipupose role that directs air to the brakes and it also protects the front of the engine (belts, etc.) from water and other debris from the road surface.

The part shown below is from my PT when I was experimenting with various "ram air portals" for the air filter housing hose. It worked fine there but it rains to much in SUNNY Florida to be practical year-round.

The part number for the left (drivers) side shown below is 05027663AD.

I'll either crawl underneath and check or go to the dealer parts department tomorrow and see if this is so or not. I've got to stop by there anyway.

Please click below.

I think he said he has an 05. The plug you referanced to is an oem filler for the "fog light delete" versions from 06 up that are at the outermost part of the lower grill.

Yes, I need the front right passenger side.

The splash guard I have there does nothing for directing air or protecting the belts. There are two holes in splash guard where my mystery part connects.

Your picture and part number are what I need.

However, yours is for driver side and I need passenger side.

If you can get passenger side, that would be AWESOME!!!!!!

thank you for being willing to check at parts dept tomorrow.

anxiously standing by.............

after some research, which took ripping apart my bumper :-D and realizing i was thinking of something completely different.

I believe the part your looking for is called the "air deflector". Actually does not run into the intake which i thought it did.

Its a plastic piece that actually runs the entire length of the bottom of the bumper, and causes the air taken in to be deflected to both brakes :-D

Part #12 in this diagram.

go to this site.

Factory Mopar Parts

Click online catalog.

input your vehicle information

Click any of the 2.4 configs

Then click body hardware

then front bumper

Its #12 in the diagram.

cost $31.98 :-)

happy cruizing
