Red face New member going crazy! Please help!

I have a 2005 convertible whos driver's side window refuses to go all the way up. Now before you start coming up with any ideas I must warn you we've tried EVERYTHING! There's nothing wrong with the mechanics of the window! We got the window to go all the way up a month ago, we think, by pulling and re-inserting all the fuses! Now it's back down 6 inches again! It stopped dropping the required inch to clear the top, now won't go all the way back up! It's like something is blocking it but there's nothing there! HELP!!!

If you have tried everything, I have nothing to suggest

Good luck to you

I recall something about the 'vert windows being more fussy than the hard top. I believe the doors have to be shut for one thing and I vaguely remember some sort of reset to clear any gliches like you're having. Someone should be along with better, clearer info so keep checking this thread.

You might have to call it a day and just bring it in to get repaired by someone else. Sometimes a new set of eyes may see the situation differently.

Unhook the battery, hit the brake pedal a few times to get rid of any residual power, and wait about 15 minutes. This will reset the system. See if this works. I have read on here quite a few times that this fixes that issue.

after dead battery passenger side windows won't work

I think the re-learn path is correct. I have a Jeep Liberty and after replacing the regulator you have to do a combination of all the way up, all the way down, all the way up & hold, all the way down and hold like three times to reset the motor's "stops."

Yep, that would be my first suggestion. Has honestly resolved this issue many times, and well worth the try.
