Default 2005 PT Turbo Cruiser smoking (a lot) on startup?

My husband just bought me a Turbo 2005 Cruiser convertible, and we picked it up.....and an unbelievable amount of smoke comes from the exhaust when you first start it up and when you accelerate.

Any ideas what it would be?

thank you for your help.

Change the PCV valve. And let us know what happens.

Let me guess ..... A quick sale ? My ideas involve less than good news where unscrupulous sellers add a bottle of no smoke to calm the symptoms of fried rings ... $10 solution for a couple days ... sure hope I'm wrong.. lets focus on the PCV for now. a $28 fix here in the North.

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

Well rings have a different symptom. That would be more like valve seals or possibly turbo. But as above let's go with the pcv valve first. Milage of the car?
