Can I run 235 x 40 tires on my 05' DreamCruiser with 18" wheels?

I believe that 's what BUSA_Powered runs on his PT. You could PM him and ask.

And read this thread:

Thanks for the replies. I was wondering if there is enough clearance between the front wheels and the strut spring base?

Question Re: 18" wheels

The front tires are really close to the struts, I mean really, really close. But no evidence of running, yet.

If you have 1/4" of clearance between the top, outer edge of the tires without hitting the inner edge of the fender, you may.

Do I need extended studs with 5mm hubcentric spacers? Or can they be mounted on the stock studs ?

I've put 19" x 8,5" offset 30 wheels in my PT with 2,6" drop and there is no problem. If they don 't touch it's fine because it's a fixed point and the touch or they don 't.
