Cool Custom Tail Lights

I have looked and found only custom tail lights for model year 01-05 PT Cruisers. I have a '07 Convertible. Aren't the tail lights the same for the entire run? Or did Chrysler make a modification for the 06 to later models.

I'm referring to the custom housings/tail light housing for 01-05 models.... not the bulbs!

Different only on the inside where the light bulbs attach BUT with a little work-around, they can be made to work.

This older thread will tell you how.

Yep.

I put the later style taillights on my 2001. The fix is the same to put the older style on the 2nd Gen Pt's too. On the turn signal lights only, there are prongs in the socket where it connects to the car's wiring harness. The prongs are in a different location on 2nd Gen PT's. I just took a Dremel tool and removed the prongs. That allows the socket on fit either Gen. This took less than five minutes to mod.

In the photo below, just remove the parts I've marked with red:

I pt 2nd gen tail lights in my '05 - no problem. then I got a set of PTeazer tail lights and put them in.
