Factory Hold on GT Convertible Build????
Hey Gang:
On March 8th, my 2005 PT Cruiser GT Convertible order was received by the factory.
Only options are the 17 inch Chrome Wheels and the Red Inferno paint color.
As of today 4/19, my car is in BX status: part or option either on restriction or not factory available. The factory recommended I call my dealer and have them review the weekly plant status sheet, go over all the order codes on my order and see what part/option is on hold.
Well my dealer says they don't know how to do that and I need to wait till next week, for their Sales Mgr to come in to help me further.
Is there any Chrysler 800 number I can call or web site I can go to and find out exactly what is holding up my vehicle? Is there anything I can further ask my dealer to look into or some sort of pressure I can apply to get the process rolling on getting my GT convertible built?
Is anyone aware of factory restrictions and new GT convertible builds being on hold, and if so, for what reason?
Am I being too impatient...is 6 weeks with still no VIN number, and/or having my car still in BX status normal?
Thanks in advance.
