Default Hello, I am a new member here.

like my title says I'm a new member here. I've owned a lot of cars in my 60 years of hanging around on this rock. When the PT Cruiser first came out my wife and I went and took a test ride I was not exactly enthused with the vehicle but we got our name put on a waiting list.

After many months of waiting we gave up and went and bought a Pontiac Grand Am that had been a program car. We probably saved a lot of money over the price of a new PT Cruiser but it wasn't a Cruiser.

So, time passes like it tends to do and yesterday my wife and I went and bought a used '05 GT convertible. Its a real pretty blue color. it has the 3.4L turbo engine. We got it for what I though was a decent price, but, {there is always a but ain't there?} the air conditioner does not work.

Oh, I put a can of air conditioner stop leak in and a can of the high mileage Freon but it did not stay in the system long. There must be a real bad leak somewhere.

I posted some pictures on my facebook page and will put the urls on here

I have been reading some of the posts and other threads on here and plan to do more of the same.

Welcome to the forum. All U.S. PT Cruisers have a gas engine 2.4 liter engine. It's probably just a typo unless someone swapped your engine. Good looking cruiser.

The Turbo is strong, fast and reliable.. People that don't understand the love of a PT, probably don't deserve to.

Your correct. It is 2.4L, at least I got the turbo part right.
