Default Air Box ?

Need some help. How do I remove the stock air box on an 07 convert ? It seems the fuse box is in the way. I want to make my own intake but need to take out the air box. Thanks for the help!

if it is the same as my 05 touring, you have to remove the hose and filter. remove the bolts in the bottom of the airbox, then kind of pull and twist and it should come out from under the fuse box.

I have a 2006, just unhook the hose at the bottom left of the box & the intake hose...than pull up & it will come out..it is not bolted in.

Thanks for the info. Question, does the hose at the bottom have to stay, or can it hang loose?

it slips onto a bracket shared with the fuse box, but it is not bolted to it. it will just pull off. pull straight up. be mindful of the inlet duct at the lower corner feeding from the wheelwell.

1-Disconnect the throttle body air inlet hose/ clean air hose from the air cleaner housing

2-Pull air cleaner housing straight up to remove.

3-Remove the inlet duct from the air cleaner housing.

when you make your own tube, you can attach the little valve cover vent hose to your tube, or stick a little toy filter on it.
