Default Beat Lifters

While in the middle of a top end job I noticed some of my lifters were tight and unlike the others I couldn't get the up and down play. The "good" ones had about a 16th of a inch of up and down play at the tip where it meets the rocker when installed. Money is VERY tight right now so I am going to have to use all the old lifters. Just wondering how much of a bad idea this is.

Check with uptownsport I am sure he has a set very inexpensive.

Binding or sticktion can cause other damage to valve train components.

If he has none pm me.

I've sold tons of PT adjusters to retrofit the old 2.0 DOHC. What you describe doesn't sound like failed lifters - I've NEVER heard of bad ones, nor has anyone complained that any I've sold have been bad.

I wouldn't worry about it.
