Default Seasons Greetings with accompanying question.

Happy Holidays to All!

I don't get to the forum often.
I drive a 2005, 2.4 turbo, convertible here in the desolation of snow, ice,
pokie-nipples, and cold known as Maine.
Quick side-note- [this is the BEST snow car I have ever been blessed to drive]

Here's my issue: my oil light keeps coming on...going off...coming on...staying off for days and then starting the cycle again.
The oil level is fine. I keep an eye on it because I blew up two cars in my youth due to no oil. There are NO leaks, no smoke, no nothing.

From the experience of the forum...is this simply the sensor or does it mean the oil-pump itself is ready to bite the big one??

I have a scope but there is no check engine message so I do not know if it would tell me anything if I attached it?

Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks,
agr1233@yahoo.com

Most likely the sensor, based on the experience of others.

Talking Re: Seasons Greetings with accompanying question.

Yup!
Has the same issue a few months ago on the 2005 Dream Cruiser vert.
I was the oil sensor/switch.

Just remember, that you can post this in the "Technical Forum".
As, just because it is a convertible, none of the basic engine mechanics are any diff than any other Cruiser.

Agree with all. But if you want to know what it is. Screw in a oil pressure gage to check it. The sensor is common. Bandaids can help with that embarrassing perky thing in public.
