Hi folks, I just joined the forum and just joined the ranks of PTC owners. I am the proud new owner of a base model Black on Black with dark slate interior PT Convertible!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT........I was on my way to buy a full size truck and saw this baby and wouldn't ya know it.....I walked away with it. It's a five speed, and is more or less a blank canvas for add-ons. My wife and I decided to get this car as our son will be sixteen in 2.5 years and we are giving it to him for his first car. Needless to say, he still hasn't wiped the SEG (_ _ _ _ Eating Grin) off his face yet. I have been having a blast driving around in it. Took my wife today to teach her how to drive a stick. (I'm reasonably certain there was only minor clutch and transmission damage!) I came out of Wal-Mart two days ago to find that someone had put a smiley face antenna ball on the car and taped a note to the antenna that said COOL CAR! Today, I pulled up to a light next to a brand new GT Cruiser in Red. I had the top down and was grinning ear to ear, and looked over to see a very elderly lady at the wheel of this brand new GT. She looked over at me smiling and we both gave each other the thumbs up! I would have loved to have gotten the GT Convertible, but as we decided to get this car with the plan of turning it over to the number one son, we decided base model was best. However, dad does think stoking it up a little may be in the cards. I've been looking at the cold air intake mods as one way of increasing the horsepower a wee bit and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on that mod. Anyway, I'm incredibly excited about this shiny black rag top. I love it.......thanks in advance for any advice on mods. [8)]
