Default Pt cruiser number two

So in my other thread I was able to do head gasket timing belt on a friends.

I was jellious I did all the work for someone else. I found a 2001 with 144000 miles. Said bad timing belt.

Got it for seven hundered. Towed home for eighty. It's the blue one.

My only issue is I don't want to put too much cash into something with low resale value.

so you are into it for under $800

with $240 in parts you are still around $1200
if its in a ny shape at all it should be worth that
plus some to boot
Guess im not sure what you are asking
you bought it with some plan in mind didn't you??

No plan. Just fix it and then decide what I want to do with it.

Parts

Windshield washers
Brakes
Timing belt water pump head gaskets new valves trans filter and oil. Tires shocks. A arm bushings tie rod ends. Hid head lights

Maybe $1150 in parts.
Labor maybe head cut and valves grinded. 250

Total. 2200

Keep it and drive it for as long as it lasts. For $2,200 invested, it'll be well worth it. Sure beats paying $3-600 a month for 60-84 months for a new vehicle. Plus look at the money you save on insurance!

Yeah, that was my though, just use it. No car payment. I actually have been taking a scooter to work. Five miles from my place.

As for the wheels, i was unaware of any center caps. That might look good though. The wheels match the back fake spare holder. Photo attached. I'll take some of interior. Interior is a 6.5 out of ten but with a deep detail it will be comfortable.

I'm not sure either...lol...it looks like it might be some kind of baby moon or something.
How about a closeup pic of a wheel...

And a pic of the hood ornament too, if you don't mind. That looks interesting.

Just got to work now. Worked on it for an hour today. The wheels for sure have some notches that are made to hold a center cap. Looks fine as it, but if I see the, somewhere I'll get them.

I like the hood ornament too.

Almst have the head off. One problem i see. One cam cap has four small pits/holes on the bearing surface. No damage or scoring on cam or cylinder head botto. Riding surface. Showed my mechanic friend, he said hole has a bad casting from factory. I'm just going to run it.
