Default 2006 Convertable manual transmission cable.

I have a 2006 PT Convertible Turbo 5 Speed manual. Was at the Drs office and went to leave with no gears. Shifter was all wobbly. Managed to manual put it in gear and drive home. Found the shift cable had fallen off. My Question is does it have a clip that holds it on? Looks like it is hard to get to . Mine is on the side facing the fire wall. Will get new bushings today. Cant find any info on a clip.

Thanks, But looks like maybe a E-Clip was there and fell off. Not really sure. Bushing was worn bad and is in a terrible place to get to. Had to order bushing and will see when I get te old one off. From some Pics, they must have changed shift location on 06 models. nothing like other pics I have seen.

Don't think the have any clips. Don't come off until the bushings go bad. I actually used slices of hose in mine that worked pretty well. So your new bushings will fix you right up.

Had to remove the bracket for the fuse block. Other bushing was bad also. Didn't need a clip, the bushing locked on to the pin. Job done .Thanks for your help...
