Default Any of you USE your boot cover?

Mine didn't come with a boot cover. While looking thru a self-help parts yard, I found one in pretty decent condition. But, with the small trunk on the convertible, I was wondering if it is worth fooling with.

Any thoughts?

If I found one, I'd probably take it, but I'd most likely never use it.

Is it that hard or stiff (no pun intended) that it can't be folded up? If you found one in a salvage yard, and it wasn't too much, I would probably get it, just to have it, as you probably don't see many 'verts in the salvage yards.

I have mine, and after having the car one full summer, I have yet to put it on... I kept meaning to try it, never did. I'll be curious what other people's experience with them is.

Used it the first year. Than it became a pain to install every time I drop the top. Than it started getting in the way when I used the trunk. Been in the garage attic for the last 10 years. Every time I see one on E Bay I think to myself I have $300 sitting in the attic.

I bought one for my little Vert. But I've never used it. At this point, it was likely a wasted purchased, I believe.

I have my dash apart right now doing some wiring, gauges, etc., but I'm curious now to put the boot on just to see what it looks like... If nobody posts any pictures by the time I can power up and drop the top, I'll try to get some decent shots to post.

I ran across a couple of pretty good pics of the boot on the car and it does add a finished look when the top is down I have to say.

I think if you were going on a trip or drive for a couple hundred miles...it would be a good to have.

Don't have one for my '05 GT, but one of the best features of this car is the 10 seconds it takes to raise or lower the top. If I had one, I'd rarely, if ever, use it. That said, it does look much better with one on.
