Default Dome light LED replacements?

Has anybody found an LED replacement for the 2 dome lights that are mounted under the sport bar? I have searched online and have not had any luck!

Yes.

Another member figured out that these LED fixtures will work in both the sport bar and in the trunk. He said that he had to take a Dremel and wide the holes just a little and then the fit was perfect.

I bought a set almost two years ago but haven't installed them yet. They are on my to-do list.

Here's a link to the fixtures:

Ugly and old? For me, that's just impossible!

That's just the difference in being studly on a sunny day and studly on a cloudy day. Either way, the studliness remains.

Joking aside I agree with snobby Robby, the warmer LED's would be better if you can find them. The ones I got myself and referenced here were the same ones as used by the previous member I mentioned that first figured this out. Not everyone can pull off the cloudy day stud puppy thing like me. So If anyone finds some 1.5" LED fixtures like these with a warmer color, they ought to post it so we all can look good in dome light.

Update. The bulbs for the map lights fit perfectly into the dome lamps. The lamp is a slightly different size but the base connector is the same.

thank you for this site!!

i may be on there for a few hours!

For those that have replaced most interior lights or outside lighting with LED on your PT. Did you have to replace relays and such? i see that they recommend an LED flasher (which i'm guessing replaces the signal flasher behind the wheel?)

the only relay you would need is the flasher relay. I just walked into autozone and asked for a Variable Load Relay, and after some snooping around in sales books, the old guy behind the counts found me a part, plugged it in and it worked just fine. The only issue I have is that it isn't insulated like the stock one is so it makes a louder sound as it cycles.
