Just got it! I seem to have a wierd hickup or dead spot sometimes when I make a turn. I don't know if it's shifting at that time or what. Maybe just the way it is. Any ideas?

I replaced my 2004 Limited Edition PT with a Route 66 Edition. It is fantastic.

I enjoy being the only yellow PT in the Austin area. I have people from work coming up to me saying they saw me the other day driving down a particular street. Yellow is not only a head turner, but it also seems to be a very safe color as everyone sees you.

My main problem is that there is very little headroom for me at 6' and 290#. The power moon roof and the power seat has limited my sight line. I have also been breaking the left hand power seat switch molding as everyone who drives it has to "scoot" or "rub" over the molding to put their feet on the ground when getting out of the car. You kinda feel like you are jumping out of a big utility vehicle since you feet seems so far from the ground.

Any other Route 66 people having this problem?

I'm still happy with her. I have just reached 2900 miles since November 28th.

Just picked up my Route 66 Cruiser in a blizzard on Saturday!! My brother has a gold Dream Cruiser, so I can hardly wait to get the Cruisers together.

I agree about the head room issue. It is fine for me at 5'8", but it's close enough that I wondered whether a tall person would be comfortable.

I love the sport suspension. The main reason I got the Route 66 model is that it is the only Cruiser that comes with a sport suspension and a base engine, but I'm really growing to love that yellow color (I'm used to having very subdued colored cars) and I love the wheels.

I'm soo looking forward to nicer weather so I can use the tailgate party option!!!

Have had my Route 66 for a week now. Replacment for 01 Cranberry Flamed Cruiser that got T-Boned last month. Very different than 01,more "Grown Up" interior, bigger gauge dials. The car is way cooler than pictures let on and I did my old Cruiser with Yellow dash so Yellow in 06 dash OK by me.

I also purchased a Route 66 in November and received it in Jan 06. I was pleased with color but displeased with interior seats. Way to hard and uncomfortable for an average size person. How do you like yours? I would have prefered BENCH seats. Don't like console between seats, sits to far back for comfort on elbow placement. Would LOVE to change the seats but don't think I can get away with it, safety reasons. :-( Nada D.

Welcome, Nada.
Your profile says this is your third PT, so I don't understand...
Are you saying the RT66 seats are harder or further back???
I see no reason you couldn't swap out seats - it'd take some work, but could be at least as safe as what you have now.
