[br]Congrats on the new Rt. 66, I've always thought Chryler should use more vibrant colors & less Chrysler colors on the Cruiser. Do you know if the turbo is an option on that model?

No Turbo which if they added most likely would have resulted in larger sales.

Thumbs up Re: 2006 PT Street Cruiser Route 66 Edition

Have you had any little problems or hiccups w/your Rt. 66?
I have had a few. The door checks have had to all be replaced, the drivers door one twice. When I drive over uneven pavement, it sounds like the tires are rubbing on the inner fender wells. I would like to lower it a little, but not if they are rubbing. They would for sure then.
When I slow and the trans shifts down, sometimes it sounds like the transaxel is slipping (just slightly), and the top lid of the console is in a bind.
Other than those little things, the car has been awesome. I have almost 20,000 miles on her now and she runs like a top. I have an appointment to get those issues dealt w/as she is still under warranty.
How many miles have you put on yours?
Any info you can pass along would be greatly appreciated. Right now I am looking for bigger brakes for her. I wanna start autocrossing w/her and need to make her stop quicker. I can find roters, but not calipers. I posted asking if Neon SRT-4 calipers would bolt on, but as of yet, no response. Hope to see a post from ya. TIA!

I have about 30,000 miles on my route 66 and it has been lowered since new.Not once did i ever hear my tires rub.On uneven pavement (like entering a steep driveway) you might hear the black peice under the front bumper cover drag a little but thats about it.

Thumbs down Re: 2006 PT Street Cruiser Route 66 Edition

Very Good! I can see it looked like it was lowered. I like it alot, very sanitary looking. Sweet....as I said, I am getting it looked at. I am thinking it is not rubbing, but something in the suspension making a similar to that noise when it compresses. As I said, it comes from different corners at different times and shows no rhyme or reason as to why it would do it. But I do know its not the small black air dam on the front that is rubbing so, maybe I can still get away w/dropping her some. Thanks so much for the response!
