Heck, I'll go one further...what's AEM and why did they notify you and not the rest of the PT community?

AEM is Advanced Engine Management. They make some cool performance products like underdrive pulleys, timing gears, and intake systems. But I still don't knwo what EMS stands for? [:I]

So, it's probably something like Stage 1 for the 06 GT. Those guys have been asking for it, although Nam9482 (who started this thread) already has Stage 1 on his 03, so maybe it's stage 2 for the older GT's. [:I]

Hopefully you can verify what your contact told you. This is the first I heard that AEM was doing an EMS for the PT. I know they are working on one for the SRT-4. I pretty sure it won't be plug and play for the PT. Even though they have the same engine (SRT-4 & PTGT) the PCM will control things differently. But if it is true tuning will be alot better than using a piggyback (ie PPQ, dtec, emanage, safc et al)

For everyone that's wondering what EMS is, this is directly from AEM' site http://www.aempower.com/product_ems.asp

AEM’s Plug & Play Engine Management System (EMS) will forever change the way you look at and perform fuel injection tuning! This user-programmable system plugs directly into a vehicle’s factory ECU harness and requires no additional wiring or hardware. (Some adapting hardware may be required for non-factory forced induction vehicles.) Windows™-based software (2000, NT, 98, 95, ME) makes the task of copying, viewing and manipulating data as simple as a click of the mouse. User-defined templates are easily configurable and enable tuners to establish “quick keys” to any pertinent information during the tuning process. The AEM EMS’s infinitely adjustable software allows tuners to program virtually any combination of engine control, power adders and auxiliary devices, and accurately deliver proper amounts of fuel and correct ignition timing for ANY boost level or operating condition.
