Default Dodge Caliber SRT Pictures

Here is the SRT-4 Caliber. I like this car a lot. 300 hp and 260 torque.

I'll have to see one in "the flesh" - but I don't like that black piece running from the base of the widshield, all along the roof, to the tail...[:0]

Yah, after a couple of years of UV and Carwashes that black strip of plastic is going to look like crap.

the pacifica has the same type of thing, and they still look good to me. (i do not think they will be as bad as the gray bumpers on our cruisers!) i think the caliber is a great looking car, and so far the reviews seem very good. this type of daring design is what people are coming to expect from chrysler, and what other US makers should be doing. the one thing that chrylser has been able to do is make cars with these looks (like the cruiser and the 300), but back up the styling with function. wife and i are going to check out the caliber this weekend, but hoping to talk her into a magnum or 300!?!?!! can't wait....

The latest Car and Driver panned the Caliber in a comparo ....

Probably because it wasn't a Honda.

Perhaps you haven't seen the Pontiac Vibe, or it's sibling the Toyota Matrix. The Caliber is a DIRECT ripoff of these 2. The question is why? Pontiac and Toyota are not selling a ton of these. Why compete in a market where no one is watching? Did the world need another Edgy for the Sake of Edgy Crossover Sport Utility Sub Compact Soccer Mom Transport Weekend Camper Grocery Store Hauler? I stand by my first impressions. It's ugly, butt fugly. The CVT is unrefined at best. The standard engine is barely adequate, and even the 300hp SRT version makes it no more appealing.....Swing and a miss!

Yeah it barely beat the Suzuki - finished behind Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, and Honda.
What bothered me was braking was the longest - does the SRT have better brakes?
Also they complained that the high windows & low seat made you feel like sitting in a tub...
Biggest gripe was vague manual shifter.
