Stephen R.....it is realy quite simple as to why Chrysler is still holding off on any major cosmetic changes. They are scheduled to produce the 2nd Gen PT beginning in 2005(as an 06 model),this is only a few years off.The 2nd Gen PT will share many componets with the Neon,Stratus,Sebring and atleast one Mercedes model. Why invest money to upgrade when much is allready scheduled to change.PLUS,the 05 model year will see introduction of the Convertible.
I personally see little for us as PT owners to bitch about.Name another small platform, mass produced car that has seen as many factory options available in it's first 3 production years as ours.Everything from color changes to trim packages to turbos so on and so forth.THEN there is the massive aftermarket available for these little cars. Nope...no complaints here. InfernoRed ![]()

Sagging sales means hit the refresh button.
[u]Minor</u> cosmetic enhancements (as previously mentioned) are often economical and offer enough "shine" to bring in new buyers to the showroom as well as to the dealer's parts counter. Honda, for example, always refreshes their products once during their 5yr lifespan (although the '03 Accord may need CPR sooner). Gen II PT is a couple of years away. While we already have our cars, I'm offering my opinion on one of the ways I believe DC can get new people in this wonderful vehicle. Sales must continue. While I was sold on the car even in its prototype years, most enthusiasts who wanted one now have one. Now the demographic has changed. Again, addressing pop culture styling cues - lights & grilles - IMHO offer just enough spark to get them (and even me) interested. |

I email Chrysler and they are going to be coming out in the spring of 2004 a convertable. I'm really looking forward to that. They also said they will have colors to choose from and colors of rag tops to choose from.

Jody,
Is there a paint number or designation for that Graphite metallic paint? It may just be the color I'm looking for... Thanks, TNT
