Totally agree, they should keep making the Cruiser, maybe add AWD, with the high end performance model, 330 HP Twin-Turbo, 6 spd, runflats, HUD, wider track, perfect!

yeah, that's where the 6 spd would make a huge difference in gas mileage. Look at the Vette - 430 HP -6 spd making 27 mpg or more.
I would love the PT with a turbo DC 3.5 V6 - 6 spd manual and AWD, runflats.

All these are good ideas, BUT would completely change why most of us bought a PT!!!

I would love to hear of a refresh for 2010 with some new options but retro styling

All good ideas but to cram a bigger engine in would require a larger engine compartment and to keep the symmetry, a bigger car. I think leaving the cruiser the way it is and adding a larger retro vehicle would be the way to go. While I think that would be the best way to go, would DC do it? I doubt it. A couple of years ago at a drag strip in New Hampshire, I did see a PT Cruiser with a blown, 440 wedge in the pro-street class. The driver's seat was where the back seat normally was as the engine kinda intruded on the passenger compartment. Probably the fastest PT Crusier alive, sub 9 second et's.
