Or how about a hybrid? I would have bought a new one for that. Chrysler badly needs a fuel efficient car--why not create a PT hybrid? Instead of freshening the look--which people still seem to like--get rid of the early 90's transmission and engine. Add some more high tech things to appeal to younger buyers like Scion does.

There is nothing else out there really like the PT. After mine was wrecked, I just wouldnt be happy with anything else. The Mazda 3 5-door was my other choice--and is probably a little *better* quality-wise but it just doesnt have the style and personality the PT does. I like Scion's high-tech stuff but hate the look of the xB. I didnt consider the HHR because GM's quality is horrible and the HHR is not nearly as cute as a PT. In the end, it was a no-brainer--I replaced my PT with another one.

I've always loved the retro look of the PT, but what if they scrapped the PT look and went for another retro look? I'm sorry but it won't be the same. The PT Cruiser was the original, and several car companies have tried the retro look on their cars and some of them IMO, are butt-ugly. However, if they tweaked the gas usage or convert it to a hybrid, then yeah, the PT's will sell like hotcakes. Too bad the companies are so shortsighted about their profits...they simply can't see the forest from the trees, (or however the saying goes LOL)

ok now all i was saying is if they restyled the pt that would be cool. but if there not going to change any thing major i think it would be better if they stoped making them. now the reson why i say this is because right now i cant drive 5 miles with out seeing a pt . now if they kept making the same car how boring would it be if all you see when you go out is your car every block you go.like the route 66 pt how rare can it be just because they slaped a sticker on it an painted it a different color.i (could buy the sticker on ebay for about $8.00) its still the same million some pts they all ready made . (but i really love the yellow route 66) im dieing to see the new dodge challenger in person.
